Charles dePasquale

Raised in a very musical family, Charles started cello lessons at the age of nine with his uncle, Francis dePasquale. Over his career, Charles has served as a substitute cello with the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as the Principal Cellist, for both the Ocean City Pops, under the direction of Frank Ruggieri, and the Allentown Symphony. In addition, Charles has performed with several ensembles including: Delaware Symphony, Philly Pops, and the Concerto Soloists. When he is not performing regularly with the Ocean City Pops, the Reading Symphony, the Kennett Symphony and the Main Line Chamber Players, he serves as a secondary orchestra director in the West Chester Area School District. For over 20 years, Charles has been bringing the award winning West Chester Senior Strings Orchestra to the Music Pier on Mother’s Day! Initially made possible through the generous support of Esther Weil’s organization, Friends of Music, this yearly concert has been able to continue due to the financial sponsorship of local businesses, in Ocean City.

Charles’s education includes: Bachelors in Music Performance (New School of Music); PA Teacher Certification (West Chester University); Master’s in Music Therapy (Immaculata University).
