Opening Night: Kristin Chenoweth

Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth’s career spans film, television, voiceover and stage. In 2015, Chenoweth received a coveted star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2009, she received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in “Pushing Daisies.” In 1999, she won a Tony Award for “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” and she was also nominated for her original role of Glinda the Good Witch in “Wicked” in 2004. Chenoweth has been nominated for two Emmy Awards and for a People’s Choice Award for her role on “Glee.” In 2009, she wrote an upliftingly candid, comedic chronicle of her life so far, “A Little Bit Wicked,” which debuted on the New York Times Hardcover Non-Fiction Best Seller List.

Chenoweth has performed to sold-out audiences across the world, including performances at Carnegie Hall and Royal Albert Hall. Chenoweth released “The Art of Elegance,” her album of American Songbook classics via Concord Records.  The album debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Current Jazz and Traditional Jazz charts, and #1 on Amazon’s Vocal Pop chart. Chenoweth also returned to the stage in her limited engagement MY LOVE LETTER TO BROADWAY, at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, receiving rave reviews. In 2014, she released a CD and DVD of her own live concert performance, “Kristin Chenoweth: Coming Home.” Additionally, Chenoweth performed with iconic The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra in their annual Christmas concert. The concert aired on PBS and BYUtv in December 2019.

This 3rd-annual outdoor concert is free and open to the public, so bring the whole family to Carey Stadium, just off of the boardwalk between 5th and 6th streets

Disney Princesses Live

For generations, the music of Disney’s princesses has been the soundtrack to our lives. Now, for the first time in forever, a quartet of Broadway and animated film icons celebrate these beloved songs on stage in Disney Princess - The Concert! Drama Desk®-nominee Christy Altomare (original Anastasia, Mamma Mia!), Helen Hays Award-winner Diana Huey (’Ariel’ in The Little Mermaid, Miss Saigon), Disney Channel Star Anneliese van der Pol (‘Belle’ in Beauty and the Beast, “That’s So Raven” and “Raven’s Home”), and BroadwayWorld® Award-winner Syndee Winters ('Nala’ in The Lion King, Hamilton) combine forces in this concert of a lifetime, joined by their magical Music Director, Benjamin Rauhala (Fiddler on the Roof) and enchanting Prince, Adam J. Levy (Moulin Rouge). Your every dream will come true as a symphony orchestra and larger-than-life animation immerse the audience in pure Disney magic, while these acclaimed stars sing your favorite songs and share their exclusive, hilarious, and heartfelt behind-the-scenes stories from their time on the stage and screen. Program will last approximately 2 hours, including one 20-minute intermission.

OCPops Greatest Hits: Maestro Lee's Orchestral Favorites

Few orchestras in the world have the flexibility and versatility of the Ocean City Pops, and this evening is going to show it off! In this one-of-a-kind concert, Maestro Vince Lee will take you on a whirlwind tour of almost every genre imaginable: symphonic folk tales; brassy fanfares; Hollywood hits; Tin Pan Alley tunes; and even Funk and Soul. If you enjoy an evening of variety and surprises, this concert is for you!

A Sinatra extravaganza ft. Brandon Tomasello

After his spectacular debut with the Ocean City Pops in 2022, Sinatra stylist Brandon Tomasello returns as a headliner to the Ocean City Music Pier! Since his beginnings singing Sinatra songs over a recording as a teenager, Mr. Tomasello has curated a massive library of original Sinatra orchestral sheet music, arranged by greats such as Nelson Riddle, Billy May, and Johnny Mandel. Don't miss this chance to hear these classic Sinatra songs, performed exactly as they were written for Sinatra himself!

Broadway's Kimber Sprawl Gets Wicked

Broadway superstar Kimber Sprawl returns to the Ocean City Music Pier! After her successful run in the Bob Dylan-inspired show Girl From the North Country, Ms. Sprawl recently joined the Broadway cast of Wicked, so you can expect her voice to "defy gravity" as she takes you on a journey of her musical adventures.

The Jersey Tenors

The Jersey Tenors are coming to Ocean City, bringing music from Frank Sinatra to Frankie Valli to Figaro. The four talented guys, complete with Broadway and operatic credits, are Jersey born and bred and Jersey proud. The latest opera and rock mash-up sensation, The Jersey Tenors seamlessly perform some of opera’s greatest works alongside the best of Josh Groban, ABBA, Queen, Journey, Elton John, Kool and the Gang, and of course, the best that Jersey has to offer: from Sinatra and Valli to Bon Jovi and Springsteen and Jersey girl Whitney Houston.

Friend Like Me! Aladdin's Michael James Scott

One of the most dynamic performers on Broadway today, Michael James Scott returns to Ocean City!  Michael James Scott has played the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin internationally including Broadway, London, the North American Tour, and originating the role in the Australian Production for which he won the prestigious Helpmann Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. He’s also known for originating the role of the Minstrel on Broadway in Something Rotten and originating Dr. Gotswana (aka The Maggots Guy) in The Book of Mormon. Judy Collins

In her 6th decade as an artist—and as prolific as ever, having released her 55 th album earlier this year—Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Judy Collins is taking a rare moment to look back on her landmark 1967 album, Wildflowers. The cultural icon will perform an exclusive series of shows bringing to full bloom her chamber-folk masterwork supported by a 35-piece orchestra. The show will also feature Judy’s most beloved songs from her decades-spanning oeuvre.

Tchaikovsky and Beethoven 5: Symphonic Fireworks

The annual Ocean City Pops Symphony Night returns! Maestro Vince Lee shows off the virtuosic Classical side of the OCPops with an evening of symphonic favorites.  Musicians from the orchestra will also take the spotlight as featured soloists, and the evening will close with selections from one of the most famous tunes in Classical music history: Beethoven's 5th Symphony.

80 Years of Rogers and Hammerstein!

Ocean City Pops conductor emeritus, Bill Scheible, presents a Tribute to the most successful collaborators ever on Broadway- the legends Rogers and Hammerstein celebrating 80 years with their first musical Oklahoma!, followed by Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I, Cinderella, and the Sound of Music.  Don’t miss this special concert featuring vocalists and solo instrumentals!

After 2021's blockbuster concert featuring four of the top opera students in the country, Maestro Vince Lee is thrilled to make this concert an annual Ocean City tradition. Come hear which future superstars will make their debuts on the Music Pier stage!

Jackie Evancho

Ocean City favorite, Jackie Evancho, returns to Ocean City! A worldwide sensation when she was only ten years old, she first dazzled American television audiences with her stunning debut on NBC's America's Got Talent. Audiences raved over her musical connection with the Ocean City Pops and Maestro Vince Lee during her last appearance, and Ms. Evancho is excited to bring new songs and familiar favorites to the Music Pier stage in 2023.

Great American Songbook ft. Emily Margevich

Referred to as the "star of the 2022 Ocean City Pops season" by Maestro Vince Lee (due to her three separate appearances, including one on short notice), Emily Margevich returns as a headliner to Ocean City! She stunned audiences in 2022 with her remarkable versatility, singing Opera, Broadway, and popular tunes with equal vigor and expertise- while also having everyone in stitches with her humor and panache. Expect favorites from Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and much more!

John Williams Strikes Back! Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and more.

With a career spanning eight remarkable decades, the movie music of John Williams has touched the lives of every living generation. Having worked with Mr. Williams, Maestro Vince Lee has become one of the premiere interpreters of his music, and is thrilled to continue this annual celebration of his music. Expect to hear big hits (Star Wars, Indiana Jones), family favorites (Harry Potter, ET), along with the Ocean City debut of the stunning music from the movie War Horse.

Maestro Lee at the Keys: Dueling Pianos!

A concert over 20 years in the making, Maestro Vince Lee steps off of the podium and behind the piano for this unique concert event! Joined by his long-time colleague and regular Ocean City Pops orchestral pianist, Eric Svejcar, 176 piano keys will be smoldering as Vince & Eric scorch through some of the greatest hits of Rock, Pop, Broadway, Classical, and more. Originally having played side-by-side for two years as classmates at the famed music school of Indiana University, Vince & Eric finally get the chance to perform, simultaneously, on two pianos!

SEASON FINALE: Dance Elegance with the Atlantic City Ballet

After their breathtaking feature with the Ocean City Pops in 2022, the stars of the Atlantic City Ballet return to heat up the Music Pier Stage! Forging a new, continuing artistic partnership between the ballet and the OCPops, Maestro Vince Lee is delighted to highlight the talents of neighboring arts organizations. (Expect exciting developments on this to be announced at the concert!) The Pops will also shine tonight as they play dance-themed orchestral features. A great way to finish an exciting season- don't miss it!
